Class of 2026: Review important Phase 3 scheduling info

The Phase 3 curriculum team is excited to guide the transition for the Class of 2026. As you prepare for scheduling, note the following key points:

  • Scheduling Requests: You'll receive an email in early December from Amanda Ybarra, IU School of Medicine registrar, with instructions for the first round of Phase 3 scheduling requests.
  • Scheduling Request Submissions: There is no advantage to submitting your preference sheet early. Take your time and ensure completion by the deadline. You can edit your requests until the deadline. Reach out to the registrar with any questions.
  • Priority Rotations: The first round of Phase 3 scheduling will focus on core clinical rotations (Emergency Medicine, Sub-Internship, Critical Care Selectives, and Radiology) and one career-recommended rotation. These are of the highest priority and are the most difficult to reschedule.
  • Scheduling Resources

a. Visit Phase 3 Curriculum for core rotation details.

b. Review the 2025-2026 Critical Care Selectives Catalog.

c. Explore Career-Recommended Rotations and Specialty Preparation Guides.

  • Phase 3 Scheduling Process: Occurs in multiple stages. For more details, visit Phase 3 Scheduling.

Stay tuned for more updates as scheduling progresses.
