To ensure a safe clinical and educational environment, the Indiana University School of Medicine requires medical students in all phases to meet specific immunization standards. These standards apply to both academic and clinical participation.

COVID-19

If you haven’t already provided proof of your COVID-19 vaccination dated Sept. 1, 2024, or later, do so immediately by emailing documentation to compreq@iu.edu (CC healthsv@iu.edu, as well). This aligns with expectations set by both the university and affiliated clinical sites.

Full immunization requirements

Visit Student Health Immunizations for a complete list of required immunizations.

Exemption and waiver requests

IU School of Medicine recognizes that students may seek exemptions for medical or personal, non-medical reasons. Request an exemption by following the formal process outlined at Immunization/TB Surveillance Requirements.
