Bio
Christopher Newman is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Indiana University School of Medicine and a pediatric radiologist at Riley Hospital for Children. He received his MD and his PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology before completing his diagnostic radiology residency and his pediatric radiology fellowship. He joined the faculty at Riley Hospital in 2023.

His research interests include the application of multimodality imaging to predict fractures in pediatric patients as well as using both preclinical and clinical techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy in the setting of nonaccidental trauma.
In addition to his general pediatric radiology practice, his clinical interests include clinical ultrasound, musculoskeletal imaging, and nonaccidental trauma.
