Bio

Lola Chabtini, MD, FACS is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as Associate Program Director for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program. Her academic interests include surgical education, trainee development, and innovation in cardiothoracic surgery training.

She specializes in adult cardiac surgery, with expertise in coronary revascularization and open and minimally invasive valve repair and replacement procedures. Her clinical practice emphasizes evidence-based care, technical excellence, and patient-centered outcomes.

Dr. Chabtini earned her medical degree from the Lebanese University in 2009 and completed her general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery training at Indiana University. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in transplant immunology at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Chabtini was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Paul Harris Foundation Humanitarian Award in 2019. She is dedicated to educating and mentoring the next generation of cardiothoracic surgeons.
