Dr. Lautenschlaeger is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the IU School of Medicine. His clinical practice is focused on the treatment of lung cancer patients and brain metastases patients. He is the Associate Director for Clinical Research for IUSCCC.

Dr. Lautenschlaeger's clinical research interests are focused on Lung Cancer, SABR/SBRT, and Radiation therapy outcome prediction.
Dr. Lautenschlaeger's NIH-funded translational research is focused on measuring and predicting response to radiation therapy in solid tumors with the goal to develop biomarker-guided personalized radiation prescriptions and follow up care.
