Layer is an experienced molecular biologist with a proven passion for synthetic biology approaches such as advanced protein expression and purification methods, antibody discovery, and antibody engineering. As a member of the laboratory of Jeffrey Dage, PhD, Layer uses his broader benchtop scientific experience to facilitate his teammates’ progress and share with them his passion for biomolecules. Additionally, as an individual contributor, he uses his antibody discovery and engineering experience to assist with development of tools needed to construct biomarker assays for clinical diagnosis and evaluation of neurodegenerative disorders.
