Bio
Dr. Riggs completed both her undergraduate and medical education at Indiana University, followed by residency training in Pediatrics at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana. After completing her residency, she joined the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children, where she has practiced across multiple clinical sites, including IU West, IU North, and Riley Hospital.
Dr. Riggs is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Her clinical interests include the care of hospitalized children with complex medical conditions, management of preterm infants greater than 32 weeks’ gestational age, neonatal resuscitation and attendance at high-risk deliveries, as well as the care of well newborns. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Riggs serves in a medical director role, where she provides administrative leadership and oversight of clinical operations. Her responsibilities include supporting quality improvement initiatives, optimizing patient care processes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety, efficiency, and overall care delivery.
