Bio

Robert Blake, MD, received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2011. He subsequently completed his pediatric neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2016 and 2017 respectively. His residency trained him to treat pediatric patients with a wide range of general neurology diseases. His epilepsy training focused on the evaluation and management of patients with refractory epilepsy through epilepsy surgery evaluation, anti-epileptic drug therapy and dietary therapies. He joined the faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine in July 2017. He is a part of the epilepsy surgery team at Riley Hospital for Children, a multi-disciplinary team that evaluates patient for potential epilepsy surgery. He has training in intracranial electroencephalography, including stereo-electroencephalography (sEEG), subdural grids and intraoperative electrocorticography (ECoG). He is involved in making recommendations for patients to have resective epilepsy surgery procedures, disconnective procedures (hemispherectomy, corpus callosotomy), laser interstitial thermal ablative therapy and neurostimulation implantation (vagal nerve stimulator).
