Kirsten M. Fitz, DO
Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics
Bio
I was born in West Lafayette, IN but spent most of my life living in Los Angeles, CA. I attended the University of Dayton in Ohio where basically everyone in my family has gone. After college, I moved to Indianapolis and went to Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I decided to pursue Med-Peds because I love the challenge of taking care of all ages and I loved the opportunity to explore all of the things I am interested in. I was attracted the IU Med-Peds program because it has such strong medicine and pediatrics programs plus a strong Med-Peds presence. I love that our program is big enough that I always see my co-residents at whichever hospital I am working at, and that everyone knows and understands what being Med-Peds means and the unique challenges and strengths that come with being a Med-Peds resident.
Outside of work, I love hiking and kayaking with my husband and our two dogs, as well as exploring all of the awesome restaurants and breweries in Indianapolis. I also love cooking and am currently working on mastering homemade pasta and pizza.
