Bio
C. Corbin Frye, MD is an endocrine and general surgeon practicing at IU Health North/Schwarz Cancer Center and at IU Health Fishers. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the Division of Surgical Oncology. He is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and has completed an accredited fellowship in endocrine surgery.
Dr. Frye earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed a general surgery residency and research fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Frye then pursued a fellowship in endocrine surgery with some of the top leaders in the field at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
As an endocrine surgeon, Dr. Frye specializes in surgery of the adrenal, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, with particular clinical interests in minimally invasive endocrine surgery, including the robotic resection of adrenal glands and scarless thyroid nodule ablation. He also performs minimally invasive and robotic general surgeries including inguinal and abdominal wall hernias.
In addition to his clinical efforts, Dr. Frye is passionate about educating the next generation of surgeons and advancing his field through research, for which he has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters. Dr. Frye also actively participates in leading professional organizations, including the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES), the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS), and the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).

Dr. C. Corbin Frye performs surgery on endocrine glands including the adrenal, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, along with performing abdominal wall hernia surgeries. Dr. Frye is passionate about minimally invasive and robotic surgery and previously won the SAGES National “Top Gun” laparoscopic surgery competition an unprecedented three times consecutively.
