Bio
Dr. Makar is a board-certified nephrologist committed to quality patient care through mutual understanding and shared decision-making. Her clinical interests include the prevention and management of chronic kidney disease and associated cardiovascular outcomes. This includes the link between heart failure, arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, and kidney disease among those on and off dialysis. Dr. Makar is a long-standing member of the American Society of Nephrology.
