Bio
Tieying Hou, MD, PhD is an AP/CP certified pathologist, serves as section head of head and neck pathology. Dr. Hou received her medical degree from Medical school of Qingdao Univ, completed residency training in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) at the University of Buffalo, where she served as Chief Resident in the last year. She then advanced my training through fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Hou is interested in head and neck pathology and cytopathology, particularly the application of fine needle aspiration in diagnosing thyroid, salivary gland and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. She has written more than 40 peer reviewed publications and has been invited to present at national and international conferences.
