Dr. Gregory L. Katzman is Service Chief of Radiology at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Professor of Radiology & Imaging Sciences, and Co-Director of the IU School of Medicine Business in Medicine Scholarly Concentration program. A graduate of IU School of Medicine, Dr. Katzman completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He went on to complete a neuroradiology fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, followed by a research neuroradiology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Katzman is a neuroradiologist with additional expertise in advanced MRI imaging of the neuroaxis as well as pediatric neuroradiology. After completing an Executive MBA, his career path also includes significant administrative roles, with special proficiency in leadership, business analytics, health care quality and biomedical informatics. Prior administrative positions have included chair and vice-chair positions of academic radiology departments as well as the acting Chief Quality Officer for all University of Chicago hospitals and clinics. Past research interests include advanced MRI techniques, imaging informatics, and healthcare operations management. He currently collaborates with three Indiana University, Kelley School of Business professors researching the effects of VA Community Based Outpatient Centers for increasing utilization and access to healthcare for rural veterans.Key Publications
