Yuan Liu, PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Health Data Science at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a computational biologist and bioinformatician whose research integrates multi-omics data, real-world clinical evidence, and interpretable artificial intelligence to investigate disease mechanisms and improve therapeutic development. His research focuses on cancer genomics, immunotherapy efficacy and toxicity, population disparities, neurogenomics in Alzheimer’s disease, regulatory genomics, and targeted protein degradation. Dr. Liu develops and applies statistical and computational methods that connect molecular profiles with clinical outcomes. His work has appeared in Cancer Discovery, Nature Health, Cancer Cell, Nature Communications, Nature Machine Intelligence, Science Advances, Nucleic Acids Research, Cancer Research, and other journals.
