Bio
Dr. Andy Young is an academic general internist and medical educator at Indiana University School of Medicine. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, he earned his medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic, where he also served as Ambulatory Chief Resident. He relocated to Indianapolis in 2023 to serve as the Medical Director of the Adult Ambulatory Care Center, a downtown teaching clinic where he cares for a diverse patient population alongside a dedicated team of resident physicians.
Dr. Young currently serves as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, where he helps lead the Primary Care Track. His core academic interest is medical education, with particular emphasis on ambulatory curriculum development and mentorship of resident scholarship. He is passionate about helping trainees grow not only as skilled clinicians, but as thoughtful professionals who see advocacy and lifelong learning as essential components of their work.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Young is married and the proud father of four children. An avid reader known for sharing book recommendations, he also enjoys running as a way to recharge and reflect.
