Dr. Ruslan Rafikov is a Professor of Medicine at Indiana University's Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Occupational Medicine, where he leads groundbreaking research in pulmonary hypertension, acute lung injury, and hemolytic conditions. With over 70 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, he has significantly contributed to understanding the mechanisms of pulmonary vascular disorders, particularly through his expertise in protein engineering, metabolomics, and single-cell transcriptomics.
As a principal investigator currently funded by two R01 grants exceeding $6 million, Dr. Rafikov has demonstrated exceptional research productivity while fostering the next generation of scientists, with his team members securing numerous fellowships and awards.
