Laura Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Health Data Science at Indiana University School of Medicine. After obtaining her Doctorate in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Laura was a Postdocoral Research Fellow in the Department of Genetics at UNC. Laura's research areas include developing statistical methods for relevant problems in biomedical research, particuarly in the field of immunomics, genomics, and precision medicine, including neural networks and polygenic risk scores. Her collaborative interests include pediatrics, cancer research, chronic kidney disease, and underrepresented populations.
