Bio

Dr. Alix McLaughlin (she/her) is a pediatric psychologist in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children. Clinically, she works as an integrated member of the interdisciplinary teams for youth with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis, chronic kidney disease, and congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT). Her academic interests emphasize self-management for adolescents with chronic illness, increasing access to quality mental health care, and caregiver wellbeing in pediatric settings. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, completed her internship at Nationwide Children’s hospital on the pediatric psychology track, and finalized her training through a fellowship in pediatric psychology at Indiana University/Riley Hospital for Children.
