Lauren M. O’Reilly, PhD, provides clinical psychology services in the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health clinic at the Riley Pediatric Care Center.
Dr. O’Reilly’s research centers on suicide risk and prevention in youth, with particular emphasis on developmental, social, and clinical factors that contribute to suicidal behavior. She has been awarded funding from the National Institutes of Health and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and her work has appeared in leading journals. Her program of research also incorporates translational and machine-learning methods to improve suicide risk screening, assessment, and intervention for vulnerable youth populations.
Dr. O’Reilly provides outpatient evaluations, psychological treatments, testing, consultation, and other services for children and adolescents, with expertise in dialectical behavior therapy for adolescents, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and suicide-focused interventions. She also participates in the department’s educational mission by teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
