Dr. Montaser's research focuses on advancing data-driven and mathematical approaches for understanding and predicting complex physiological systems, with a particular emphasis on diabetes. His areas of expertise include continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data analytics, stochastic modeling, artificial intelligence and machine learning in diabetes, statistical pattern recognition, and time-series analysis. His work also spans mathematical and computational modeling, big data analytics, and simulation for biomedical applications, including early diabetes staging, prediction of type 1 diabetes progression, and modeling and prediction of cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD).
