Bio
Trista Stankowski, MD, MS, currently serves as Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr. Stankowski received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and her master's degree in Clinical Investigation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Stankowski completed her general surgery training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and her colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester.
Stankowski’s clinical focus is on colorectal surgery and spans all benign and malignant colon and rectal diseases, including anorectal, pelvic floor dysfunction, colon and rectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Stankowski’s research focuses on patient-centered decision aids for rectal cancer treatment. She has been a co-investigator or contributor to more than 21 peer-reviewed publications.
Stankowski is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
