Dr. Rohan has extensive clinical and research experience in pediatric chronic illness including hematology/oncology and transplantation, adherence and self-management, interdisciplinary clinical and research collaborations, clinical research trials and advanced data analytic methods. Prior to her residency and fellowship at Boston Children's and Harvard Medical School, she completed her graduate training in Pediatric and Health Psychology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Rohan is a member of the Society of Pediatric Psychology, American Psychological Association, Children's Oncology Group and American Psychosocial Oncology Society.

Dr. Rohan’s research and clinical interests focus on psychosocial clinical care in pediatric and adult chronic illnesses with a focus on quality of life, patient experience, treatment adherence, self-management, as well as, psychological and health outcomes in pediatric cancer, neurofibromatosis, and other chronic illness populations. Specifically, Dr. Rohan is passionate about identifying predictors of optimal versus poor health outcomes, investigating disparities in psychosocial and health outcomes, and developing innovative interventions to improve and enhance clinical care and outcomes of pediatric and adult patients diagnosed with pediatric cancer, neurofibromatosis, and other chronic illnesses.
Dr. Rohan's current work focuses on descriptive research, as well as, mHealth and telehealth psychological interventions that can reach diverse patient populations. Our current research is investigating the patient experience in healthcare, treatment adherence, quality of life, transition to adult health care, minimizing psychological distress during medical visits, and improving health and psychological outcomes.

Dr. Rohan's clinical expertise is pediatric and health psychology. Dr. Rohan’s clinical interests primarily focus on psychosocial clinical care in pediatric and young adult patients with cancer, neurofibromatosis, and blood diseases. She utilizes an eclectic approach to clinical care drawing from a cognitive behavioral paradigm to enhance psychological well-being, quality of life, coping, and health outcomes. She works with patients and parents, as well as, their siblings. Specifically, Dr. Rohan is passionate about utilizing innovative psychological interventions to improve and enhance clinical care and outcomes of pediatric and adult patients diagnosed with cancer, neurofibromatosis, and blood diseases.
