Abena D. Oduro, MD
Resident Appointee
Bio
I grew up in Accra, Ghana, and later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to pursue my undergraduate studies at Calvin University. I earned my medical degree from St. George’s University, beginning my first year in the UK through the Global Scholars program, followed by a year in Grenada and clinical training in New York. After completing my internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, I went on to pursue a fellowship in hospice and palliative care at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. As a Hematology/Oncology fellow, I am passionate about integrating palliative care into cancer care and advancing my interests in global oncology, cancer prevention, and health equity. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking Ghanaian food, exploring new cities, and spending time with family and friends.
