Theresa M. Nutten, PhD, HSPP, joins the Department of Psychiatry as an outpatient clinical psychologist at the East Washington Clinic.
She earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University, where her research explored the integration of religion and spirituality within counseling psychology training. Dr. Nutten also holds a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Western Michigan University and a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
Dr. Nutten's clinical focus includes anxiety, relationship concerns, identity development, multicultural issues, and integrative, evidence-based psychotherapy. She has provided individual, group, and crisis intervention services and has led numerous outreach initiatives tailored to diverse student and community populations.
At East Washington Clinic, Dr. Nutten will provide outpatient evaluations, psychological treatments, testing, consultation, and other psychological services for adults across a broad range of presenting concerns.
