Kim A. Lindblade PhD MPH FASTMH is Director of Research for the Center for Global Health, and Research Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine. She serves as the Co-Director of Research for the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) Kenya program. Dr Lindblade is an epidemiologist and completed her doctorate and master's in public health at the University of Michigan. She spent more than 20 years working for the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, directing malaria, emerging infections and influenza programs in Kenya, Guatemala and Thailand. For five years, she was seconded to the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where she led the elimination unit within the Global Malaria Programme. She served as the technical director for the US President's Malaria Initiative Insights project for three years based at PATH.

Dr Lindblade's research interests center around evaluations of interventions to control and eliminate infectious diseases, including vector control, chemoprevention, vaccines, surveillance, and health systems strengthening. She is committed to supporting national disease control and surveillance programs and ensuring their ownership and leadership of global health efforts.
