Katherine Havard-Coiro, MD, is an assistant professor of clinical neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She joined the IU faculty in 2026. She is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in neuroimmunology. Havard-Coiro specializes in the diagnosis and management of neuro-immunology disorders including multiple sclerosis, Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, autoimmune encephalitis, neurosarcoidosis, paraneoplastic neurologic syndrome and other related neurologic manifestations of systemic inflammatory disease.
Havard-Coiro attended medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Evansville and Indianapolis, graduating in 2021. She then completed her residency training at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 2025. Following the completion of neurology residency training, Havard-Coiro completed neuroimmunology fellowship training at the Mellen Center at Cleveland Clinic in 2026.
