Helen Jiang, DO

Bio

Helen Jiang, DO, is a Post Pediatric Portal Program resident within the Department of Psychiatry.

"I decided to go back to training after working in general pediatrics and seeing the desperate need for child and adolescent psychiatry," Dr. Jiang said. "When we talk about caring for the whole child, their mental health is just as, if not even more important than their physical wellbeing. The intersection between the two is undeniable and I wanted to be able to adequately care for the pediatric population."
 
Dr. Jiang shared, "IU has been amazing in terms of working with us, especially as the first class of the Portal program. Our program director, Dr. Meudt, meets with us weekly to answer any questions we have, and teach topics we’re interested in learning more about. I’ve gotten to know the fantastic general psychiatry residents, child and adolescent fellows, and triple board residents who help guide us between all the hospital sites, upcoming events and Indianapolis in general. The administration has been flexible with our interests and needs, and I’ve already learned so much."
