The Office of Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions at IU School of Medicine has partnered with IU eLearning and Design Services to develop and deliver online courses. With the guidance of the Department of Psychiatry, this program will provide the participants with formal substance use disorder (SUD) training and resources to feel qualified to diagnose and treat SUDs, particularly in youth. Individuals working with adolescents/families in primary care settings, including clinicians and clinic staff, need increased knowledge to deliver appropriate care to patients and families who have a history of substance use. These courses include information on the current state of adolescent substance use, best practices for adolescent substance use treatment, and screening, referral and treatment guidelines/resources.
Please keep in mind:
- All courses are free of charge and available to everyone.
- Please allow 60 days for CME/CE and MOC Part 2 credit to be awarded.
- Each course has several modules with a pre/post quiz for each module.
- Learners are able to leave the course and come back in.
