The Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine offers fellowship programs in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry, clinical neurophysiology, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-ophthalmology and vascular neurology. Fellows experience an in-depth training environment alongside faculty experts in their specialties. Consistent with national trends, about 80% of IU School of Medicine neurology residency graduates pursue fellowship training and have successfully secured post-residency training at IU and other well-respected institutions throughout the United States. In support of IU School of Medicine’s tripartite mission, faculty neurologists are deeply involved in training the next generation of physicians and investigators in neurological care and research. All neurology fellows train at IU clinical partner sites in Indianapolis.

Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry
The Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry fellowship program accepts two fellows each year and offers broad exposure to a variety of behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry conditions.
Movement Disorders
The Movement Disorders Fellowship is a one-year, clinical fellowship designed to prepare the next generation of expert movement disorder neurologists.
Neuroimmunology
This intensive one-year fellowship provides advanced experience and training through a clinical approach to prepare physicians for a career in subspecialty neuroimmunologic care.
Clinical Neurophysiology
The one-year Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship program fills three positions each year. Two positions focus on EEG and epilepsy, and one fellowship position focuses on EMG and neuromuscular disorders.
Neuro-ophthalmology
The Neuro-ophthalmology fellowship program bridges the knowledge and clinical care gap between neurology and ophthalmology. The subspecialty focuses on vision disorders of the brain and cranial nerves.
Vascular Neurology
This one-year Vascular Neurology fellowship provides advanced training in the care of vascular neurological conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
