Otolaryngology Residency

Training the next generation of otolaryngology—head and neck surgeons

The Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery Residency program at Indiana University School of Medicine is the cornerstone of the department. Residents and faculty form a dynamic and diverse community of surgeons who have trained at leading institutions across the country. The department encompasses the full spectrum of otolaryngology subspecialties and is deeply committed to continuous improvement. Through residency retreats, monthly feedback sessions and formal data-driven surveys and studies, we actively refine and strengthen our training environment.

Mentorship is a defining feature of the program. From the first day of residency and throughout their professional careers, residents benefit from dedicated guidance and support. A strong emphasis is placed on building lasting relationships — connections that foster personal growth, professional development and long-term success for both the residents and the department.
