Support Scholarships at IU School of Medicine—South Bend

Through the annual Medicine Ball, physicians, health care administrators and representatives of the local business community have raised more than $2.2 million in scholarship money to support medical student tuition and expenses. Still, the need for continued financial support continues.

The South Bend campus has been able to provide a minimum of $5,000 tuition support to third- and fourth-year students in good standing who show financial need. In addition, it awards a number of named four-year scholarships including those listed below.

Audrey Gogola Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2012 by multiple donors to support medical student scholarships at the IU School of Medicine—South Bend campus.

Faye Magneson Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2007 to support scholarships to medical students enrolled at the IU School of Medicine—South bend campus who are graduates of high schools in St. Joseph County, IN. Preference will be given to, but not limited to, a student interested in pursuing primary care medicine.

Harris Clinical Research Fellowship

Gifts will support fellowships for medical students at IU School of Medicine—South Bend who are conducting clinical research.
