Led by Mary Dankoski, PhD, executive associate dean for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development, this team nurtures a culture that promotes faculty vitality and diversity; provides development activities that ensure effective and successful recruitment, appointment, retention and promotion; and trains and educates visionary, innovative leaders who are capable of promoting the school’s mission and capitalizing upon emerging challenges.

Dankoski’s interests include the advancement of women and underrepresented minority faculty, the study of faculty vitality, identifying how policies shape faculty life, and organizational and faculty development in academic medicine. Under her leadership, Faculty Affairs and Professional Development focuses on five key priorities to advance IU School of Medicine: faculty affairs, professional development, diversity, wellness along with faculty vitality and engagement.
