Medical Student Facilities

The IU School of Medicine-Northwest-Gary campus offers terrific student spaces, including different types of study rooms, a lounge and dining area, access to the campus athletic facility, and more.

Work and Study Space

The Gary campus offers private and group study areas that medical students can access at their convenience. These rooms are located on the second floor of the Dunes Professional Building and are accessible only to medical students to ensure a productive environment for work and collaboration.

Personal Space on Campus

Lockers are provided for all students for them to store and secure their personal belongings while on campus.

Housing

Medical students at IU School of Medicine-Northwest-Gary have several local housing options—all within 15-20 minutes of campus. Among the most popular housing options for medical students in Gary are Huntington Cove Apartments and Prairie Point Apartments.

Transportation

All of the buildings on the IU School of Medicine-Northwest-Gary campus are easily accessible and within walking distance of each other.
