James A. Knight II had his pick of medical schools. He graduated from Yale with honors and then spent a year in Spain conducting Alzheimer’s disease research as a Fulbright Scholar. Yet the Fishers native said choosing IU School of Medicine was simple. “It’s where I want to practice,” he said, “and family is important to me.” The decision was made easier as the recipient of a full scholarship. “It’s truly humbling and a blessing,” said Knight, a member of the Class of 2020. “It’s empowering to know someone believes in you enough and is generous enough to make that possible.”
