As a graduate student, you have already made a commitment to make your professional life the best it can be. But you can't be your best if your wellness is under par. You have access to many services that can help you live well and stay well during your time as a grad student. Check out the following resources.

Student and Scholar Health Insurance

IU School of Medicine ensures that each student has access to health and disability insurance, and that each student's dependents have health insurance. Find answers to questions about your mandatory health insurance plan or disability insurance.

TimelyCare

IU students and residents have FREE, 24/7 access to TimelyCare, a virtual health and well-being platform. Access virtual mental health support or self-care content on demand, or schedule counseling or health coaching sessions when they work for you.

IU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a full-range of clinical mental health services and support for learners. At your initial consultation appointment, a counselor will focus on understanding your concerns and goals, then make recommendations for next steps.

Department of Mental Health Services

Access mental health services on all IU School of Medicine campuses in-person, or schedule a tele-health appointment. You can also take a mental health, well-being, anxiety, depression or PTSD screening online.

IU Clinical Psychology Mental Health Center

Schedule an in-person individual or group therapy, relaxation or mindfulness training or psychological assessment session provided by doctoral students from the PhD program in clinical psychology at IU Indianapolis. You can also receive evaluations for mood or anxiety disorders, ADHD and specific learning disorders.

Ombuds Office

Discuss concerns, complaints and disputes with an impartial third party in a safe environment at the IU School of Medicine Ombuds Office. Confidentially discuss sensitive issues, find guidance on how to address a conflict, identify policies that apply to a specific situation and more.
