Wellness Resources for Residents and Fellows

Life is demanding for medical trainees. The Indiana University School of Medicine provides the following resources at no cost to you. We encourage you to prioritize your well-being, so you can perform at your best, inside and outside of your medical career.

The GME Wellness Toolkit provides resources specifically curated for residents, fellows, program directors and coordinators. Access resource libraries, school-wide wellness resources, GME wellness policies, American Medical Association member resources and more.

Department of Mental Health Services

Access mental health services on all IU School of Medicine campuses in-person, or schedule a tele-health appointment. You can also take a mental health, well-being anxiety, depression or PTSD screening online.

TimelyCare

IU students and residents have FREE, 24/7 access to TimelyCare, a virtual health and well-being platform. Access virtual mental health support or self-care content on demand, or schedule counseling or health coaching sessions when they work for you.

IU EAP (SupportLinc)

SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help you and your household members address life's challenges through free, 24/7 access to professional counseling, resources and referrals. Licensed advocates provide short-term assistance for issues like grief and loss, work-related pressures and depression.

Healthy IU

Healthy IU is the university's workplace wellness program, providing educational and environmental resources to foster individual well-being and support a culture of wellness. Ombuds Office

Discuss concerns, complaints and disputes with an impartial third party in a safe environment at the IU School of Medicine Ombuds Office. Confidentially discuss sensitive issues, find guidance on how to address a conflict, identify policies that apply to a specific situation and more.
