Program to Enhance Scholarship in Residency

a resident in the clinicThe Program to Enhance Scholarship in Residency is open to all IU School of Medicine residents and fellows. The goal of the program is to increase interest in academic medicine and the creation and dissemination of scholarly work by all trainees including those from medically underserved communities. 

  • The $2,500 award may be used over two years during residency or fellowship. The award may be used for project costs or dissemination efforts.

  • The scholarly projects can be basic science, clinical, behavioral, quality improvement or community-engaged research, as well as medical education or service-learning in nature.

Eligibility

  • IU School of Medicine resident or fellow
  • Must submit project proposal, mentorship plan and letter of recommendation

  • Candidates must be in good academic standing
