Open to all, the Pathway to Indiana Visiting Elective program supports fourth year or qualified third year medical students whose backgrounds, experiences or perspectives promote improved health for all Hoosiers including those from medically underserved communities.
This program is designed to:
- Increase awareness of opportunities in academic medicine.
- Prepare trainees to provide culturally competent care for patients from all walks of life.
- Encourage all learners, including those from diverse backgrounds, to apply to IU School of Medicine's residency programs.
- Provide mentorship opportunities to trainees within their field of interest.
