Paramedic Science Associates Degree Curriculum

The Indiana University School of Medicine Associate degree program in Paramedic Science offers didactic and clinical instruction in the body of paramedic knowledge and clinical competencies that facilitate a lifelong learning process as a health care professional. A field internship allows students to apply mastered competencies in real-time situations with the guidance of mentors.

Students develop values that prepare them to be sensitive to the cultural needs of patients of all ages and develop knowledge, competency and awareness of one’s abilities and limitations, the ability to relate to people, and a capacity for calm and reasoned judgment while under stress. Paramedic Science graduates are able to independently process information to make critical decisions.
