Emergency Medicine Residency Programs

The Indiana University School of Medicine offers two categorical emergency medicine residency programs and one combined emergency medicine and pediatrics residency program.

IU School of Medicine—Indianapolis offers two ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency programs: a three-year emergency medicine residency and a five-year emergency medicine and pediatrics combined residency.

As the second IU School of Medicine emergency medicine residency program, the longstanding history of educational excellence in the Indianapolis program provides a solid foundation for an exceptional experience for residents in Bloomington. The first class will matriculate in 2026.
