Informatics is a Research Area of Excellence of the Children's Health Services Research Center (CHSR). The Pediatric Health Informatics Research Program (PHIRE) is a service within CHSR to assist clinician-investigators to accomplish the next generation of clinical research. It is the home to the Child Health Informatics Research and Development Laboratory (CHIRDL).

Vision
Many domains of patient-centered research will require sophisticated and multi-disciplinary expertise in interactions with clinical informatics tools to remain competitive and productive in the coming years.
