Why did you pursue an Allergy/ Immunology fellowship? I pursued a fellowship in A/I as I really enjoy continuity of care and managing my patients long-term. It is extremely rewarding to see the relief we can give patients from their chronic symptoms. I also love the breadth within Allergy-Immunology. In the same clinic day, I can go from managing food allergies to severe asthma to CVID.
What do you like about the IU School of Medicine program? I love that the program gives me a good breadth of training in both pediatric and adult patients. I have the opportunity to rotate through a highly specialized immunology clinic in addition to various high-risk asthma and allergy clinics.
Research/QI interests? My research interests include eosinophilic esophagitis, CVID, and healthcare disparities.
Future plans? My plans after training are to stay local and work in a practice seeing both adults and children.
Hobbies/ Interests? I love true crime podcasts, reading mystery books, and traveling to as many countries as I can! I also enjoy trying new restaurants locally and exploring all the parks in the area with my daughters.
What do you enjoy in Indianapolis? I have called Indianapolis home my entire life. It was a wonderful place to grow up and now raise a family. We have great restaurants, parks, and experiences for everyone!
