Application for Vascular Surgery Residency

Medical students interested in applying to the Vascular Surgery residency program at Indiana University School of Medicine must meet eligibility requirements and apply through the Electronic Residency Application Program (ERAS®) program.

The Vascular Surgery Residency program at IU School of Medicine will offer three interview dates for the 2027 NRMP® Match:

  • Nov. 3, 2026
  • Nov. 10, 2026
  • Dec. 1, 2026

We offer an invitation to attend our educational conference and virtual social event the night before interviews at 4 p.m. EST via Teams.

Minimum requirements for U.S. graduates

  • Completed ERAS® application with photo
  • Three letters of recommendation, one of which must come from either a surgery program chair or surgery program director
  • USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores; we do not accept COMLEX scores
  • Medical school transcript
  • Must not be more than two years removed from medical school training
  • Personal statement

Minimum requirements for foreign medical graduates (FMG)

  • Completed ERAS® application with photo
  • Three letters of recommendation, one of which must come from either a surgery program chair or surgery program director
  • USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores
  • Medical school transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Must not be more than two years removed from medical school training
  • Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate acquired at least 60 days prior to start of anticipated residency start date
  • We only sponsor J1 visas — no exceptions
